For the first time in 64 years a computer has passed the Turing Test. Created by Alan Turing, the Turing Test is designed so that if a computer can fool 30% of humans into thinking they are interacting with a real human being then they pass the test. Any computer who can pull of this achievement is thought to be intelligent/conscious, in as much as we assume that anything that behaves intelligently is intelligent and conscious. A super computer named Eugene is now the first computer to have passed the Turing Test. It successfully tricked 33% of people into thinking they were interacting with a 13 year-old boy. Mark your calendars. This day will go down in history. The rise of the machines has begun.
