In the 2008 movie, Pontypool, people in a small town in Ontario began to spout gibberish and then turn into violent, homicidal maniacs.
Right now there is a similar strange thing occurring where news reporters or t.v. celebrities are beginning to spout nonsense. It even happened to Judge Judy back earlier this year and she had to be taken to the hospital. Talking gibberish is a potential sign of a stroke but none of the effected actually suffered a stroke. A certain type of migraine called a Basal migraine has been blamed. A Basal migraine is a severe migraine in conjunction with neurological symptoms. I get basal migraines before but I have never had my speech effected. For me, usually it's just the tunnel vision and dizziness, as well as sensitivity to light and pain all over my body. I'm very skeptical of the Basal migraine explanation simply because I have experienced them. They are so painful that I do not see how a person could carry on normal activities, including doing a news report!
In the clip below there are three reporters talking gibberish back-to-back. There is no video of Judge Judy's gibberish episode as production was suspended.
