Mineral Oil

Mineral Oil, a by-product of petroleum distillation, is used in the practice of hoodoo/rootwork/conjure. One of the ways mineral oil can be used is in enemy work. Mineral Oil can be used for dressing candles for enemy work in place of specific condition oils. Mineral oil can also be used to give one's enemies "the slip". Some workers, and many commercial suppliers, also use mineral oil as a base oil for their spiritual oils.

Other uses for mineral oil include the traditional, as a laxative, as a superb moisturizer (before bedtime, rub the oil on your hands and then wear gloves to bed), to loosen ear wax and to treat ear infections, to remove make-up, and for us workers, to help remove labels from bottles and containers. Rubbing mineral oil on iron tools will also prevent them from rusting. Mineral oil can also be used as a furniture polish and wood varnish.

Mineral oil is under attack by certain people who claim that it causes cancer or is otherwise toxic. This is simply not true. So don't let the fear-mongers scare you away from using mineral oil.

There is a lot of hype about it. I did switch to a natural oil for moisturing my skin simply because I have a skin condition commonly reffered to as hs and mineral oil seems to irritate it more and clog my pores.

@ L.M. Tea,

You can use olive oil or any other oil, even vegetable oil, in the same manner, by rubbing on the hands and then wearing gloves to bed.
