I'm not sure if I've touched on this or not, so I will go ahead and write on it now. Please realize that I'm in no way telling people what to do. People are free to do whatever they want. It's not like I can stop people or that I would even try for that matter.
When it comes to working with the saints, and keeping and maintaining ancestor altars and spiritual altars, I would advise against placing these in the bedroom. What you do in the privacy of your own bedroom, and among consenting adults, is your business and not the business of deceased grandma and grandpa, mom and dad, the saints or other spirits. I personally think it's okay to keep a workstation or workspace in your bedroom and do work there, but not if you are calling down saints, ancestors, and other spirits. I would keep those elsewhere in the house. Ancestor altars are generally kept in a prominent place in the house and they can be easily disguised as being "normal", since so many keep pictures of their deceased loved ones in a special section in their homes. Many workers like to keep their spiritual altar, if they have one, in a back room, attic, or basement. Some even go further. I've read various stories online of people who keep altars in very unusual places such as storage facilities!
