On July 17, 1957, an RB-47 was flying from Forbes A.F.B. in Kansas in order to engage in some military exercises taking place over the Gulf of Mexico. During the flight the RB-47 and it's six men crew encountered a UFO. The UFO appeared as a brilliant light, was tracked on radar, and was discovered to be emitting some type of radar signal of it's own. The UFO tracked the RB-47 for some 700 miles and over four states before it disappeared in the skies over Oklahoma City, OK.
The RB-47 UFO Incident remains the only UFO encounter to have been sighted visually, appear on radar, and register on ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) at the same time.
The RB-47 UFO Incident has never been adequately explained. All that can be said is that the evidence is overwhelming that a physical, unknown object was indeed flying in the skies.
