Wiccans get upset about this sort of thing because they have accepted ahistorical beliefs concerning an unbroken line of "Wicca" extending down through history into modern times. The people burnt or hanged as witches in the middle ages were not Pagans. They were Christians. Seeing a Halloween display of a witch being burnt at the stake or hanged should be no more offensive to Wiccans as seeing a display featuring bloody Jason Vorhees or Freddy Krueger.

I've read it and love the fact that it's written for a more mature audience. This isn't a book that say a child would be interested in. Lady Of The Lake

The Lady of the Lake is the reported ghost of a woman who drowned at White Rock lake near Dallas, TX, due to a car crash sometime in the 1950s. The legend of the lady of the lake dates back to circa 1953.

Appearance: A soaking-wet woman dressed in white.

Lore: According to local legend, the phantom appears on the side of the road near the lake and asks drivers who stop their cars for a ride to the home she seemingly lived in while alive.

The lady of the lake is a typical vanishing hitchhiker. As such, she will disappear usually before arriving to the destination. In the case of the lady of the lake, the phantom is said to leave behind evidence in the form of a wet seat in the car.

The only thing I would add is that the salt should be put in the corners of the room(s). Seances and Ouija boards do not "feed" negative spirits, but rather could be used by negative spirits to invoke fear in people. Negative spirits prey on fear. So the rule of thumb is don't feed the bad ghosties. Be firm and tell negative spirits to leave.
