False Flag

A False Flag is an operation in which a government carries out an agenda, such as a terrorist act for example, and then blames such on another nation or group as a means to an end, such as in to provide an excuse for a war or for the enabling of controversial laws or directives.

An example of a False Flag would be the bombing of the Reichstag in Germany, where Hitler and the Nazis destroyed the Reichstag and then claimed their enemies were responsible for such act of terrorism.
