Smith, a.k.a The Last Fireman is a descriptive phrase referring to the last surviving fireman of Roswell, NM, at time of the alleged crash of an extraterrestrial craft in July, 1947.
The man prefers anonymity but has agreed to allow his identity to be revealed upon his death. The man who is referred to as "Smith", is in his 90s and is in ill health.
Smith was located by researcher Anthony Bragalia and his interview was secured by investigator Kevin Randle.
According to Smith, what crashed was indeed an extraterrestrial craft. Smith claims that a Colonel came and met with the firemen and told them than an unknown object had crashed outside of town. The Colonel went on to state that everything would be handled by the military and that the firemen were not to visit the scene nor take any calls from concerned residents. The Colonel then made every man swear they would never speak of the events again.
It was Smith who verified that fireman Dan Dwyer, Frankie Rowe's father, did indeed go out to the crash site but that he took his own vehicle.
More information, as well as Smith's true identity will be revealed after his death.
