This is the video clip that was shown on the recent episode of Syfy's Fact or Faked show. I hadn't heard of this clip before the show and was quite intrigued.
Now, here's what's odd. It took countless re-watches for me to be able to actually understand what I was looking at. For a good dozen times all I saw was 'moving stick figure'. Probably on the 20th or so so time I watched it it dawned on me that it was a gray alien, or made to look like one. Watch it again and then focus on the creature as it nears the time stamp. You can make out a head and black eyes.
Now, does that mean I believe the clip is 'real'. No it doesn't. I lean toward the video being a hoax, however I will admit that what the clip has going for it is that the gray alien isn't apparent. If someone was going to hoax something like this you would think they would make it so that it would be easily identified as a gray alien and not a 'moving stick figure'.
When watching the clip, make sure to hit the full screen button and then get as close to the screen as possible. Watch it a good number of times and leave me a comment on what you think it is.

At first glance, it appears to be a white sheet being pulled along a laundry line. Watching the shadow, I could see that it was floating, and the jerky motion would be in keeping with the way a laundry line would be pulled.

Possibly. Not quite sure how they got the legs or what not to swing. I'm still of the opinion it's a hoax but I give the maker credit for creativity! :)
I have a couple of odd things: I noticed the witness afraid to show his face in the presentor's video, but gladly interviewed on the syfy episode. It could be that he's become more comfortable that he doesn't seem totally crazy, now that the video has gotten more attention, but interesting still.
Also, why did the presentor have clips of the alien face flashing up between the security footage? Just seemed distracting to me. Makes me wonder what is really going on with the footage.
With the 2nd figure, at first it looked to me like the fabric was more like you would think of a pair of pants...split down the middle of the two legs. After watching more, I almost get the impression that it is a cape or cloak tied at what would be the figure's neck flowing off of the body. Looks to me like the hoaxer's "take one" and "take two." First they tried a naked figure, then tried it again with the cloak.
Finally, the fact or faked team never tried their puppet on an actual stick. They hung the puppet from a stick with string. I bet they would have nailed the movement had they just simply put the puppet directly on the stick and edited themselves out later.

The major problem I have is the fact that he didn't save the tape. I mean, c'mon! I think most people would have the common sense to save the original tape and not just tape it with camcorder because one wants to record over the original and re-use it. However, that would be a perfect excuse for a hoaxer. A hoaxer may not want the original tape saved becausee it might expose it as an obvious hoax, i.e. mean manipulating a puppet before being edited out. LOL
I also thougt the second figure had a cape on. Later I thought thatit might be cloth over a stick. Whatever it was it didn't appear to have any good substance. I mean, one would assume that if there is a creature that small that it would have clothing in proportion to it's body frame. LOL :)
I wonder if anyone has superimposed one clip over the other to determine if the 'aliens' both take the exact same path...and if it is a perfectly straight line. This would make a strong case for the clothesline theory. I don't know of any organic creatures, hmans included, who move in precise straight lines one after another.

If I remember correctly, I think on the show they state that the shadows change because the terrain is not flat. However, if this video has been edited than of course the shadows could have been manipulated.
The Show Fact or faked did rule him out as the hoaxer. They gave him a lie detector test. he passed, as well, they stated he was scared of whatever it was. I do believe it can be fake, but the team did do the stick puppet and failed. They were not getting the same movement from the beings in the video. However, if it is real I hope that guy moved.

I don't think the show ruled out a hoax. It could have been edited. After all, we don't have the original footage but merely a camcorder copy of the supposed original footage.
I do suspect it's a hoax. Sorry, that's my opinion, but of course you are free to have your own opinion on the matter.
The one thing I do give the guy credit for is that it's not apparant what "it" is in the video. One has to examine it very closely to determint it's supposedly a gray alien.
The video quality on this is video is really bad. When you watch it on Fact or Faked you can see it a lot better because it is the original footage from the security camera and not from a camcorder.

Unfortuantley you are mistaken. The video shown on Fact or Faked is not the actual security footage. Instead, the man used his camcorder to film the security footage and then recycled the security tape by taping over it.
I believe that it can actually be done with a computer program.
look i do not think it is suspicious at all that he recorded the tape with a camcorder instead of saving the original tape. i think that he may be one of the many technological ignorant people in this country for example how many peoples grandparents barley know how to use their "new fangled", tv's, dvd players, computers, and phones. this guy probobaly had someone else install this equipment and has no idea how to do anything but watch it so he grabbed his camcorder and saved the footage the only way he knew how. i dont think this guy hoaxed this footage. could someone be hoaxing him, maybe, but from the guy who filmed this perspective i think it is authentic. it is one of the oddest videos i have seen and i have yet to see a good explanation or recreation other than authentic
I notice in a lot of the episodes that they don't look at every OBVIouS hoax cinerio. I can come up with a lot more experiments…
